What makes man sickby: Levi H. Pagunsan, M.D.,F.P.C.P. Every time man gets sick he always blames somebody or something for his misfortune. Most of the time, the blame is pointed towards a bacteria, fungi, viruses and chemicals as causing the sickness. Although the presence of these agents in the body are factors that contribute to the illness, the primary reason is not the invaders, but the reaction of our body defenses. Enemies can be victorious, but only if the defenses are broken. We should understand that we are not alone in the planet: there are others who need to survive as well. Unfortunately, some of these microorganism thrive by feeding on our body tissues whenever the environment permits, or if they enter the body without any resistance, or during the time when the body defenses has weaken due to improper and unbalanced nutrition of the cells. The cells are responsible in providing the needed protection, either by ingesting the microorganisms, or by producing substances that arrest and prevent the growth and multiplication of these microorganisms.
Improper nutrition is man's contribution to the rapid growth and multiplication of bacteria, viruses, fungi, etc. Man has allowed his God-given defense system to be weakened by improper choice of food. It should be noted that it is not just being full or not hungry that determines proper nutrition. It is what enters the body through the mouth that matters. Good diet is as important as oxygen and water. Without these balanced basic necessities, life would not exist. Furthermore, man invented food which disrupts the normal functioning of the body; involved in recreation which weakens the moral fibers of his being, causing undue stress, took drugs to calm the nerves thereby preventing the brain to properly analyze and decide in a rationale manner; and disregarded the roles of health due to ignorance. These factors had made man vulnerable to invasion and thus allowed his body to become a good breeding place for bacteria, viruses and others to live. The absence of the body's defense system lays the groundwork conducive for microorganisms to grow rapidly and multiply without being molested.
Man does not need to be sick if he cares about his body by providing it with proper, balanced nutrition thereby putting his body in a tiptop condition every moment of the day.
For man to live, God told Adam and Eve to eat. God knows pretty well that there was a need for them to be nourished. God provided a simple formula for man's food. But man formulated for himself food mixed with poisonous chemicals, preservatives, and flavors that would make one ask for more, and covering the food with very attractive icings and decoration so enticing to the eyes that man insidiously, slowly but surely, kills himself.
Man does not exclusively own the earth on which we live. Bacteria and other microorganisms have their rights too. They are on this earth to share the abundance of God's goodness. They are the creeping creatures mentioned in the word of God. The inhabitants - bacteria or man - living in this world are in constant competition for survival. And in their struggle for survival they can either increase their number if they have the upper hand, or decrease if they are weakened. God commanded Adam and Eve to go and multiply and replenish the whole earth, and the same command was also given to the other inhabitants of the world, including microorganisms so they too, are also expected to grow and increase their number to cover the whole world. They are there because they grew and multiplied. If microorganisms had gained access to the body of man and had caused illness and damage, they were there with the purpose of growing and multiplying to preserve their species and to survive. Man is only an incidental place they happen to go to, unfortunately, making him sick. All because his protection had run down.
Sickness is not caused by bacteria per se, but by man himself who has not provided the essential balanced nutrients to feed the trillions of cells that his body is made up of, as well as nutrients for special cells that are responsible for preventing the growth and multiplication of microorganisms. Bacteria and all other microorganisms that are blamed to cause disease cannot, and will not, be eradicated by the power of man for he has no such power. Firstly, because this earth is their habitat, their dwelling place. Secondly, they are in the majority - there are more of them per square foot of property than us. Thirdly, they were created for use by other animals. If we had become their victim, it was our entire fault. To kill them all will prove futile, for man will still die and bacteria will still be here. "Man's only strong defense is to strengthen his defenses." HOW?" BY USING PRODUCTS THAT ARE FREE FROM HARMFUL INGREDIENTS (CHEMICALS) and by having a good and balanced nutrition.
